Using a blood pressure monitor
There must be no bones or fish bones when pre-serving food.
Food should be cooked soft and easy to swallow.
The food is mainly fresh and light, not too strong or fried fatty food, such as French fries or hamburgers.
If the elderly have a history of diabetes, they should be careful when preparing or buying food, and try to choose sugar-free ingredients or drinks.
When preparing meals, the portion size of each meal should not be too large.
Food temperature should not be too cold or too hot.
Don't feed too fast.
When feeding nutritional supplements to the elderly, carefully check the amount and do not oversupply.
Tell your employer about changes in your senior's eating habits, loss of appetite, or not eating.
Record blood pressure for the elderly every day. The normal blood pressure range is 120/80 mm Hg. If the blood pressure is significantly different from the usual measurement, tell the employer about the arrangement of blood pressure medicine.
Change diapers regularly for the elderly.
Remind the elderly to take the medicine, check the time and amount, and prepare to take it with warm water.
Assist the elderly to do basic exercise every day. It is not advisable to stay in bed for a long time or exercise excessively. (Exercise should not exceed one hour)
Keep the ground dry and do not trip over the elderly.
Prepare clothes for the elderly in advance when the weather changes.
In cold weather, the employer can use electric heating pads or thermal bags with the consent of the employer, and try not to use the heater.
In the event of a sudden physical condition of the elderly, such as beyond the scope of the maid's handling, please press the safety bell for help.
